The organization is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to contribute to the digitalization and preservation of its archives. The Business Analyst will support the Archives Safeguarding Program in defining the future Digital Preservation System.

The ideal candidate is a senior Business Analyst, able to work closely with business and IT teams, understand the challenges they are facing, and identify, structure, and prioritize their requirements. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Information Management Lifecycle and, ideally, experience with digital archiving.

The role requires excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams.

The incumbent will report to the IT Program Manager and will work in close collaboration with the Program Business Leads.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and document business requirements
  • Translate business requirements into clear, detailed functional and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with the IT project team, including solution architects, technical leads, integrators, and product owners, to design IT solutions aligned with business goals and IT guidelines
  • Assist in the implementation, testing, and rollout of digital solutions, ensuring they align with business needs
  • Validate solution features through user acceptance testing, UAT
  • Prepare and deliver user documentation
  • Support the Project and Program Manager in defining scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies

Background and experience

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Business Analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and formalize business requirements
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience in leading workshops, meetings, and presentations to drive consensus and decision-making from a user perspective
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience with digital archiving solutions and related technologies would be a significant advantage
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory

Work model: Hybrid, with 2 days of remote work per week
