Careers Advisor - BSBI Berlin (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a Careers Advisor (m/f/d) for our rapidly expanding Careers Team to support the service provision at the Berlin campus. This is a full-time or a part-time role based in the Berlin office. In this position, you will be reporting to the Careers Service Manager.

Your tasks:

1. Career guidance and counselling for students and graduates during individual appointments and in group sessions
2. Delivery of a variety of career-related in-person or hybrid on-campus workshops
3. Conceptualizing and creation of Careers Service materials for students, graduates and members of staff as well as for partner organizations and external businesses and institutions
4. Development and maintenance of an interactive platform for our engaged and growing alumni community
5. Active development of partner organization network in Berlin focusing on acquisition of business partners in the Engineering, Health and IT sectors
6. Preparation of, input into and support with Careers Service employer events at the main campus in Berlin
7. Close collaboration with the Campus Management, Marketing and Student Services Teams as well as with other colleagues located at BSBI campuses in Berlin, Barcelona, Hamburg and Paris
8. Assisting Careers Service Manager in the day-to-day operations
9. Supporting the Student Services Team in their daily interactions with students and graduates

Your profile

1. Fluency in English and working knowledge in German at CEFR B2 level, written and spoken
2. Completed vocational education and/or a university degree
3. Experience in career guidance, talent management or recruitment necessary
4. At least one-year previous employment in the private or public sector in a German-speaking country
5. Excellent knowledge of the MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
6. Ability to work under pressure and to multitask. Good time management skills
7. Taking own initiative, organizational flair and empathic attitude are your final characteristics
8. Passion for helping students and young professionals with their academic and career-related endeavours
