Overview
In this role you drive PED/PESR certification activities and related services, providing deep technical guidance to support inspection and certification processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop compliant services and ensure audits and inspections meet EN standards. You’ll lead project work to expand PED/PESR offerings and support staff development. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to safe, reliable pressure equipment across markets while aligning with BSI’s mission and values.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Investigate, develop and project manage PED/PESR services to meet client needs against commercial and strategic criteria
- Coordinate with other BSI teams to maximize PED/PESR business opportunities
- Conduct PED/PESR inspections across a range of equipment
- Plan and implement service elements so they are rapidly available to clients
- Undertake PED/PESR compliance audits at client sites autonomously
- Assist in control of BSI’s inspection business
- Support staff training and development
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years in a senior technical/management role in a pressure-related industry
- Deep knowledge of design and manufacturing codes, materials, manufacture (incl. welding), inspection (incl. NDT), pressure testing and certification for pressure vessels, piping, and related assemblies
- Commercial and business awareness in pressure equipment manufacture and inspection
- Detailed technical understanding of PED/PESR, related codes/standards and affected products/practices
- Proven communicator with training and presentation skills in a technically complex field
