We are currently looking for a Test Automation Engineer for one of our clients based in Geneva:

Within our IT department, you will be in charge of components testing related to Trading, Forex and Commodities, Invoicing, and all assets being part of market activity. The testing process is a critical bridge, put in place to ensure stakeholders’ expected deliveries quality, security and requirements fulfillment. You will work closely with other Test Automation Engineers, in order to ensure automatic testing increase and global execution of required tests across three Product teams. The Tester role includes high involvement in automation by using client systems, in order to improve tests execution and reporting. Test automation activity aims to identify the best way to industrialize tests within client tools (Cucumber, Tosca, etc.), with the objective to extend testing coverage, improve execution time, expand reporting, increase replay capacity, etc.

In addition, the Test Automation Engineer should be able to manage required data to run tests and monitor environment availability prior to test campaigns. The testing function works in collaboration with all participants in software development projects: Business, Development team, Quality Assurance, Production and Service Management. You will be fully involved in the release management cycle, including meetings, gates validation, reporting, and all external events related to testing activities (e.g. Communities of Practices). In the context of client’s development activities, we need a collaborator who knows agile methodology and is able to be a part of the initiative towards a CI/CD transformation. Due to the Market team’s positioning, the Test Automation Engineer role will be particularly cross-functional and subject to evolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of automatic tests for components within scope
  • Design use case database, make use of market tools (e.g. ArchUnit)
  • Use automatic tests frameworks such as Tosca, Cucumber or Inhouse tooling
  • Collaborate with other contributors within the bank to execute tests in the best conditions
  • Provide assistance to external stakeholders when needed
  • Document tests and provide automated testing reports
  • Launch and analyze test results, monitor defects management
  • Follow-up deployments in production, contribute to Go/NoGo gate
  • Attend meetings related to testing activity within the team and outside of the team

Requirements:

  • Language & framework: Java, SpringBoot & Quarkus, Angular, Python, Cucumber, SQL, JMeter, Tosca, JUnit, Postman
  • Required technical knowledge: OpenAPI, REST, SQL.
  • Database management systems knowledge: Hibernate, Mongo 6.x, Oracle
  • Tooling experience: IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
  • Familiarity with development and operations teams’ work
  • Curiosity about testing tasks, eager to propose tasks improvement
  • Experience in agile teams
  • Committed to quality, efficiency, and process
  • University (Master’s) degree in IT
  • Certification ISTQB to be obtained
  • Fluent in French and English
