Grid Connection Manager – Onshore Wind 📍 Berlin preferred | Remote options considered💰 €85,000 - €110,000 base salary + Bonus - flexibility dependant on experience Builtin Talent is working with an established renewable-energy company seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager to support the delivery of onshore wind projects across Germany.
You will take responsibility for the grid workstream across a portfolio of projects, working with network operators, external engineers and internal development teams to ensure technically viable and commercially effective connection solutions.
The role Act as the main technical point of contact for grid-connection matters across assigned projects.
Lead communication with German network operators and coordinate applications, connection offers and technical requirements.
Evaluate connection points and identify opportunities to improve project cost, programme and technical feasibility.
Oversee external consultants and suppliers involved in electrical design and grid infrastructure.
Review technical designs covering MV/HV systems, substations, cabling, protection, metering and plant control.
Work alongside development, construction, commercial and legal teams as projects progress towards delivery.
Support the resolution of grid and electrical issues across operational renewable-energy assets.
Ensure technical decisions, project changes and network-operator requirements are clearly documented.
Attend occasional project and site meetings within Germany.
Your experience Degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, renewable energy or a comparable subject.
Relevant experience delivering grid connections within wind, solar, BESS or wider energy infrastructure.
Practical understanding of German network-operator processes and technical connection requirements.
Experience coordinating multiple technical stakeholders and progressing projects independently.
Knowledge of MV/HV systems, substations and electrical design documentation.
Familiarity with German grid standards, plant certification, protection systems or SCADA would be beneficial.
Very good German and good English.
The position is advertised in Berlin, although remote arrangements may be considered for candidates with particularly relevant German grid-connection experience.
