Junior Trader Wheat in Genève

Overview

In this role you actively trade wheat across EU and Black Sea regions, identifying opportunities and managing positions within defined risk limits to drive trading performance. You will work at the core of the market, coordinating with logistics and risk teams while building your own market view. The role blends hands-on execution with relationship building and a focus on profitability. You will join a dynamic, international trading team that values collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Execute and develop wheat trading strategies in international markets
• Identify arbitrage opportunities and translate them into profitable trades
• Build and grow relationships with customers, brokers, and counterparties
• Analyze market dynamics (supply, demand, flows, pricing, and risk)
• Manage positions and contribute to hedging strategies (futures & cash)
• Monitor and steer shipment flows in close coordination with logistics
• Stay on top of market developments and share actionable insights

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in wheat
• Strong understanding of agricultural markets and trading fundamentals
• Experience with risk management and hedging instruments is a plus
• Familiarity with EU & Black Sea trading flows and logistics routes is a strong advantage
• Sharp commercial instincts and confidence in decision-making
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
