As Business Developer Europe at Business Sweden, your role will mainly be focused on sales and business development but also to lead and deliver projects to support Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion journeys. You are expected to confidently lead the full commercial cycle—from identifying opportunities and shaping client offerings to closing deals and delivering high‑quality engagements.
We provide advisory services within the areas of Growth Advisory, M&A, Supply Chain and Public Affairs, combining strategic insights with hands‑on execution. In parallel, we drive trade and investment promotion initiatives that position Swedish capabilities globally.
This is a high‑impact role with significant responsibility, offering a dynamic mix of sales, advisory, and international collaboration.
The role includes strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities, with strong emphasis on commercial outcomes:
Lead sales and business development across Europe and globally – proactively identify opportunities, build pipelines and convert leads into business, both independently and as part of a team
Own the full sales cycle – from client dialogue and needs analysis to proposal development, negotiation, and closing
Shape compelling client value propositions grounded in insights and tailored to client needs
Deliver high‑quality consulting engagements (approx. 30%), ranging from strategic advisory to hands‑on implementation
Build and develop client relationships with Swedish companies and key stakeholders across markets
Lead investment and/or trade promotional platforms and engagements
Interact with key stakeholders ranging from clients, governmental agencies, colleagues and team members across our 50+ global offices
Coach and support in the development of junior colleagues

Formal requirements
Master of Science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience from Management Consulting, Strategic Business Development, or a similar client‑facing role
Proven track record in sales and the ability to independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility
Experience from leading and coaching consultant teams and prior experience from an international environment, proven track record of successfully leading multinational project teams and working cross‑border
Strong experience from one or more of our core consultancy service areas, including Growth Advisory, M&A and Supply Chain
Relevant experiences are within client facing business development as well as management consulting projects focused on revenue growth. The position is not focused on digital transformation and restructuring projects
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken Swedish & English is a requirement, other European language will be strongly meriting
