Role Description
The Video Editor - Germany role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Gothenburg, with flexibility for some work from home. The person in this role will edit and assemble video content for various consumer brands, including social media campaigns, product videos, advertisements, and brand storytelling pieces. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting and cutting scenes, applying color grading, integrating motion graphics and graphic elements, and ensuring brand consistency across all outputs. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and brand teams to align visual content with campaign goals and timelines. The role also involves managing files and assets, optimizing videos for different platforms, and staying current with editing trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with experience handling end-to-end editing workflows.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visual style and high-quality final output.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
- Experience with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or similar).
- Solid understanding of formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and video optimization for web and social platforms.
- Attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant education or professional training in film, media, design, or a related field is beneficial.
- Working proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
