Ideally, You Bring:
- University degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering) or a comparable technical discipline
- Proven success in establishing and/or scaling a manufacturing site, including start-up and ramp-up
- Experience in an international environment, ideally with a German headquarters
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset, decisive leadership, and consistent execution
- High level of initiative combined with a hands-on approach
- Business-fluent proficiency in Spanish, English, and German
- Willingness to be based in Mexico; readiness for international travel
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of the new manufacturing facility (greenfield build-up)
- Manage the industrialization process and production ramp-up
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team
- Implement standardized processes and clear information and reporting pathways
- Ensure best-in-class quality management, workplace safety, and environmental compliance
- Collaborate closely with HQ in Offingen with regular KPI reporting
- Support customer relationships and business development activities throughout North America
- Manage budget, investments, cash, and P&L within approved frameworks
