Overview

The Environmental Stewardship Manager (w/m/d) supports the strategic advancement of environmental initiatives across the supply chain. This role is instrumental in translating environmental strategy into scalable programs, data-driven design, piloting innovative approaches, and supporting policy development and capacity-building efforts. Working closely with the Senior Manager Environmental Stewardship, the role ensures alignment with Playbook 2030 and contributes to embedding environmental excellence across the business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of environmental strategies across the topics of water use, carbon and energy reduction, with additional contributions to chemical and biodiversity initiatives.
  • Contribute to the drafting and refinement of environmental policies and guidance documents, ensuring alignment with regulatory and scientific developments (including EU frameworks such as CSRD, ESPR).
  • Assist in coordinating pilot programs and innovation trials in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders, capturing learnings to inform scale-up.
  • Support the development and maintenance of environmental data governance systems and tools, with a focus on improving carbon and water data validation protocols.
  • Support the implementation of GHG accounting practices, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Provide environmental data and insights to support the annual sustainability reporting process.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and training materials to build environmental awareness and literacy in Sourcing and other relevant functions.
  • Collaborate with regional sustainability teams to co-develop and deliver environmental capacity-building initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, with a proven track record of supporting the implementation of carbon accounting and/or water-related strategies, including data handling, methodology input, or performance tracking.
  • Solid understanding of GHG Protocol and carbon accounting practices (if applicable).
  • Exposure to policy development, internal strategy processes, or roadmap planning within a sustainability context (CSRD, ESPR, EU Green Deal).
  • Relevant experience in the textile supply chain, with exposure to sustainability or environmental initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, data governance, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Higg FEM is considered an advantage.
