Overview
In this role you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software tools for a cloud-native analytics environment on Google Cloud Platform. You’ll lead architectural decisions, set engineering standards, and collaborate with data scientists and DevSecOps to support mission-critical operations. You will shape the development lifecycle, deploy cloud infrastructure, and ensure compliance with security requirements. This position offers impact across cross-functional teams and opportunities to advance cloud-first analytics capabilities.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Architect and develop scalable, secure microservices for a cloud-native stack
- Lead subsystem design, promote code reuse, and set technical standards
- Develop and integrate APIs including AI/ML model outputs for enterprise apps
- Deploy and manage GCP infrastructure (GKE, Confidential Compute) using IaC
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerts with Google Cloud operations suite
- Collaborate with security teams on patching and secure coding practices
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and maintain technical documentation
Zentrale Anforderungen
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
- DoD -M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline cert (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
- 8+ years software development, 5+ years in scalable distributed systems
- 3+ years leading project design or technical architecture
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, Bash
- Docker and Kubernetes experience; container registries (Artifact Registry, Harbor)
- Hands-on CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- GCP networking and security knowledge
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer and Professional Cloud Architect certifications
