Overview
In this role you design end-to-end assessments for AFRICOM J37 exercises, enabling leaders to make informed training and operations decisions. You will collaborate with J8 assessors to develop data-driven tools and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Your work will translate findings into actionable recommendations and high-level briefings, supporting exercises from design through after-action review. You will also integrate AI/ML-enabled tools and advanced visualization to scale insights and continuous learning. This position offers impact across mission-critical training and operations within a trusted defense environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop comprehensive assessment frameworks aligned to training objectives, Joint Learning Areas, Universal Joint Tasks, and command priorities
- Co-create data-driven methodologies and collection tools with AFRICOM J8 assessors
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis (surveys, SME interviews, observer inputs, structured analytic techniques)
- Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations to improve future exercises and practices
- Produce high-level analytical products (summaries, trend analyses, after-action documentation)
- Support exercises from design through execution, hotwash, and after-action review to ensure continuity of learning
- Integrate AI/ML-enabled assessment tools and advanced visualization platforms when available
- Create Senior Leader briefings detailing project impacts, cost/benefit, risks, and alignment with long-term objectives
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree in a related field and 3 years specialized experience, or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years specialized experience, or 10 years specialized experience
- 7+ years of experience in exercise assessment or military training evaluation
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analytic techniques
- TS/SCI clearance required
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
