Overview
As a C-UAS Operations & Training Advisor, you support AFRICOM theater-level efforts in counter-UAS, IAMD, ISR, and C5ISR. You will translate complex requirements into executable plans, training, and exercises for senior leaders and interagency partners. You will develop operational documentation, lead joint forums, and oversee Mobile Training Teams to improve UAS defense capabilities. The role combines tactical C-UAS expertise with instructional leadership to advance theater readiness and interagency interoperability. This is a high-impact, mission-driven position.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead joint and interagency forums and brief senior leaders to support theater-level decisions
- Apply MDMP to develop and review operational products (CONOPs, Task Orders, RFFs, RFSs, EXORDs)
- Translate operational guidance into executable plans, training objectives, and assessments
- Address C-UAS and IAMD RFIs, identify capability gaps, and craft practical solutions
- Advise on BDOC procedures for UAS detection, tracking, C2, and situational awareness
- Provide instruction on ISR collection platforms and C5ISR capabilities
- Teach adversary UAS profiles and emerging threat employment techniques
- Develop training and exercise programs integrating UAS platforms, C-UAS, ISR, sensors, and reporting
- Coordinate training activities with higher HQs and partner organizations for alignment and interoperability
- Lead and mentor Mobile Training Teams across the African AOR and oversee BDOC/LFX/Red Air replication
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience supporting U.S. military operations or DoD organizations
- Deep understanding of C-UAS operations, UAS employment, and adversary TTPs
- Practical MDMP knowledge and experience
- Ability to produce CONOPs, Task Orders, RFFs, RFSs, EXORDs, and briefings
- Ability to brief senior leadership and General Officer audiences
- Technical understanding of Group 1–3 UAS platforms, sensors, payloads, and mission planning
- Hands-on experience instructing on UAS/C-UAS systems
- Knowledge of UAS threat devices and flight characteristics
- Experience developing/executing UAS/C-UAS training and exercises
- Ability to travel extensively in Africa and CONUS/OCONUS
- Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for Small UAS
- SOF or senior planning experience (desired)
- Experience with BDOC, C5ISR, ISR, or force protection organizations (desired)
- Experience coordinating training with HQs, interagency, and partners (desired)
- Ability to operate in deployed, austere, high-tempo environments (desired)
