As an AI/ML Engineer at CACI, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models on Google Cloud, building robust MLOps that turn prototypes into production-ready systems. You’ll advance Agentic AI and LLM capabilities across defense disciplines, collaborating with mission owners and HTAP engineers to solve high-impact problems. The role combines hands-on model development with secure, low-latency deployment and governance in a demanding defense context. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Architect, build, and deploy ML and Generative AI models using Kubernetes, Vertex AI, and TPUs
- Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks and multi-agent workflows; fine-tune LLMs
- Transition prototypes from notebooks to scalable, secure production environments
- Deploy model endpoints with robust security, error handling, retries, and fallbacks
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for real-time inference and seamless model updates in cloud environments
- Implement evaluation frameworks and guardrails to mitigate errors, hallucinations, and biases
- Enforce model governance with versioning, auditability, and Explainable AI (XAI)
- Optimize infrastructure for HPC and Edge AI deployments
- Serve as technical advisor to HTAP stakeholders and coach teams on cloud ML integration
Zentrale Anforderungen
- US citizen with active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 8+ years in full-stack software development (Python or C++)
- 5+ years in ML engineering, model deployment, and ML infrastructure optimization
- Hands-on experience with GCP data/ML services (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage)
- 2+ years with Generative AI technologies (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases)
- 1+ years building/scaling Agentic workflows and prompt engineering
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
- DoD -M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
- Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
