Overview
In this role you drive the modernization of DoD IT services by building automated, secure networking solutions in a containerized DevSecOps environment. You will create interoperable automation pipelines that tie legacy tools to AI platforms, reducing MTTR and boosting security for the J6 network. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate high-level DoD strategies into practical, day-to-day engineering work. This is a technically pioneering position that blends networking, automation, and zero-trust principles to deliver resilient operations.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Python scripts in containerized environments to automate network config, deployments, and compliance checks
- Design and manage secure RESTful APIs (FastAPI) for tool integration and future AI endpoints
- Champion DevSecOps by managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus for secure code delivery
- Oversee network and security operations including data routing, log scoping, and monitoring (Elastic SIEM) in line with Zero Trust and cyber policies
- Provide cross-platform support by applying Windows admin concepts (MECM, LDAPS, Domain Controllers) for automated provisioning
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field
- 5–8 years of IT/DevSecOps/Automation with strong network engineering focus
- Proficiency in Python and Ansible
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitLab, Jenkins)
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals and security in an enterprise environment
- Experience developing secure RESTful APIs for tool integration
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
