Overview
As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software tools in a cloud-native environment on GCP. You will lead architectural decisions, drive best practices across the full software lifecycle, and collaborate with data scientists and DevSecOps to sustain a cutting-edge analytics platform. This role sits within the HTAP program, focusing on translating mission requirements into robust subsystems and APIs. You will shape the engineering standards and mentor junior engineers, delivering impact for Allied, partner, and US operations. This is a high-impact position at the intersection of engineering, security, and national mission.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient software tools and microservices for a cloud-native stack
- Design software subsystems, promote code reuse, and set engineering standards
- Develop and integrate APIs, including those exposing AI/ML outputs for enterprise apps
- Deploy and manage GCP-based infrastructure (GKE, Confidential Compute) using IaC
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with Google Cloud operations suite
- Collaborate with security teams to patch vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and produce technical docs

- US Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- DoD -M / DoD 8140 IAT II baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
- 8+ years software development; 5+ years building scalable, distributed systems
- 3+ years leading project design or technical architecture
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, Bash
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container registries (Artifact Registry, Harbor)
- Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, firewall rules, load balancing) in GCP
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer and Professional Cloud Architect certifications
