We are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical UI/UX Designer to join our growing Design and Development Team. This individual will assist in designing, establishing standards, prototyping, and creating elegant user experiences within multiple collaborative environments. The ideal candidate has a profound passion for innovation and a natural talent for creating elegant and simple designs. They are proactive in shaping their vision from its inception to full deployment and focused on the end user. They thrive in a high-paced work environment, have strong organizational skills, excel both independently and collaboratively in team settings and possess exceptional communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design for a wide range of environments including websites, website applications, mobile applications, email, and user guides
- Collaborate with other designers, marketing, and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions
- Execute all visual design stages from concept through implementation
- Infuse simplicity and intuitiveness into complex design solutions
- Create and build prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to solicit customer and internal feedback
- Conduct heuristic and competitive evaluations to identify design challenges
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree, Masters' Degree preferred, in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Industrial Design, Communication Design or a related discipline
- Fluent in best practices and UI/UX trends, design forecasting, methods, and software
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud; including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in rapid prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, creating design assets and workflows with diagraming software such as Miro, OmniGraffle, and in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Must be able to present, animate, or effectively communicate concepts, of both low and high fidelity
- Exceptional visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple programs/milestones, professional experience with both web and mobile application development, and showcase examples of professional portfolio
Additional Desired Skills/Experience:
- HTML/CSS (or LESS or SASS), responsive HTML email layout/implementation
- Native mobile design (iOS, Android)
- Medical device design experience
