Join us and help the world's leading organizations unlock the value of technology and build a more sustainable, more inclusive world. /ppAs part of the establishment of an engineering platform dedicated to industrial CAPEX projects, the Muttenz site is managing several projects related to mechanical installations and infrastructure/civil engineering (general installations) within a chemical environment. /ppThe Mechanical Discipline Leader plays a central role in ensuring technical consistency, compliance with European/Swiss standards, and the quality of engineering deliverables. /ppThe position operates within a dynamic focused on standardisation, digitalisation of engineering practices and multidisciplinary collaboration (Safety Engineering, Process, EI, Automation, HSE, Construction, Procurement, Mechanical Reception, Commissioning Handover). /ph3YOUR ROLE /h3ulliYou act as the technical authority for the Mechanical / General Installations discipline on the Muttenz site. /liliYou supervise the studies in German, validate technical solutions, manage technical interfaces, and ensure that engineering deliverables meet the expected quality level for efficient implementation in the field (IFC quality, constructability, compliance). /liliYou are responsible for allocating the on-site (front-office) mechanical/general installations engineers and designers across projects, as well as managing the interface with engineering teams located abroad (back-office / nearshore). /liliDefine, maintain, and communicate Mechanical / General Installations standards, methods, and technical reference documents. /liliMake technical decisions considering safety, cost, schedule, and maintainability. /liliLead and validate multidisciplinary design reviews. /liliCheck the quality and compliance of Mechanical / General Installations deliverables (3D models, 2D drawings, isometrics, calculation notes, MTO/BOQ, equipment specifications). /liliEnsure compliance with EN, ASME, ASIT code, Eurocodes and ATEX/PED requirements. /liliGuarantee consistency of technical interfaces with Safety, Process, Automation, EI and HSE. /liliSupport Project Managers by clarifying technical aspects, risks and decision points. /liliWork closely with Construction teams to ensure constructability of proposed solutions. /liliParticipate in supplier exchanges and validate the technical conformity of documentation. /liliProvide technical support during construction (RFIs, clarifications, redlines). /liliContribute to the preparation of IFC documentation and the commissioning dossier (DMS). /li /ulh3YOUR PROFILE /h3ulli10-15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or infrastructure/civil engineering within the chemical, pharmaceutical or energy industries. /liliAbility to manage an engineering team (5-20 people). /liliStrong ability to interact with clients, defend technical proposals and support construction teams. /liliProven knowledge of OPAM/SEVESO environments, ATEX/PED directives and EN, ASME, ASIT code and Eurocode standards. /liliDemonstrated ability to lead technical reviews, manage complex interfaces and guide decision-making. /liliTools: Expected knowledge of AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD, mechanical/piping/structural calculations. /liliExcellent interpersonal skills, technical leadership, strong documentation discipline and safety mindset. /liliLanguages: Fluent German + Professional English. /li /ulh3WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE /h3ulliCraft your own career path through continuous learning and personal growth /liliExperience the benefits of hybrid working, offering flexibility and ensuring work-life balance /liliHarness the strength of diverse teams, fostering innovation and inclusive collaboration /liliWe offer additional benefits such as 5 weeks of vacation, Employee referral bonus, Company shares program and Annual contribution to a fitness subscription. /li /ulpCapgemini Switzerland is an equal opportunity employer.
