Senior Quantity Surveyor in Frankfurt am Main

The opportunity

We are working with an international engineering and construction contractor on an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Germany. The business delivers design and build projects across sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, logistics, food and advanced manufacturing. This role offers the chance to take ownership of the commercial performance of a project while working with delivery teams and supply chain partners.

What you will do

• Manage project commercial resources, subcontract procurement and cost control to support planned profitability.
• Prepare and submit valuations, claims and contract performance information; monitor budgets and report on commercial progress.
• Identify, assess and manage contractual and commercial risks, variations and value engineering opportunities.
• Oversee subcontracts and orders for materials and plant, including assessment of work completed and certification of intermediate and final payments.
• Maintain strong cash flow through accurate measurement, timely client valuations, invoicing and supplier payments.
• Produce interim cost value reconciliation reports and provide guidance to junior members of the commercial team.

What we are looking for

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience in a comparable main contracting or civil engineering environment.
• An understanding of JCT and NEC contracts, with sound commercial and contractual judgement.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to organise complex project information.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with clients, delivery teams and subcontractors.
