Your Role & Mission – We’re seeking a People Experience & Ops Manager with a strong passion for making the entire lifecycle for our team members a great experience and supporting our remote team across Europe.

Your tasks

HR Operations – You are the contact person for all People Operations topics and take care of labor, wage tax, and social security issues, among other things

You are responsible for administering our workforce along the entire employee lifecycle, including on- and offboarding, contract and document management, data maintenance, and reporting in our HRIS tool Personio

You are in charge of preparing the monthly payroll in close collaboration with our Steuerberatung and the Finance team
-
You help manage remote employment agreements through different EORs in a variety of countries, oversee relocations, and understand how to support our employees in case of adjustments to their visa or work permits

You are the main point of contact for our legal experts to meet legal and regulatory requirements for payroll and employment-related documents

Employee Experience & Engagement – Design onboarding and offboarding processes in close collaboration with managers

Conduct employee engagement surveys and implement action plans that foster a positive workplace culture

Support employees on a day-to-day basis and contribute to employee satisfaction by continuously optimizing our company policies, benefits program, and employee-focused initiatives, and making sure our hybrid culture is thriving

Collaboration & Teamwork – Constantly develop internal processes further and contribute to other exciting People & Culture projects, such as recruiting, internal process optimization, feedback cycle, learning and development, or the roll-out of new HR tools

Work closely with other Operations and Finance team colleagues to make joining, working, and leaving Carbmee a great experience
Your profile
-
You have solid experience in a People Operations, People Experience, or a similar HR role, preferably in a fast-growing start-up environment

You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

You are highly organized, detail-oriented and stay on top of things
-
You have strong knowledge and a proven track record of German labor law, payroll, and taxes – any other additional labor law is a plus

You are familiar with standard administrative HR processes and able to identify potential for optimization and improvement. Experience with our HRIS tool Personio is a plus

First experience in managing feedback initiatives, performance reviews, or learning and development initiatives is a great plus
-
You are familiar with or interested in learning more about other People & Culture related topics, such as recruiting, talent attraction, and employer branding

You understand the importance of nurturing a healthy remote-friendly working environment and are excited to dive deeper into additional employee experience and engagement topics, such as feedback cycle, learning and development, and many more
