Systems & Project Engineer (m/f/d) HVAC & Auxiliary Systems

In this position, you will become part of our internal team at SeaRenergy and contribute directly to topics that support our projects, specialist departments, and the wider group. As part of your role, we will entrust you with the following responsibilities:
- Develop and review HVAC and mechanical auxiliary system concepts, requirements and architectures for offshore turbine foundations, substations and converter platforms across concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design stages. Depending on project scope, these include ventilation, heating and cooling, cooling water, potable water, sanitary and drainage systems, compressed air and diesel fuel systems.
- Define system boundaries, interfaces, operating philosophies, redundancy and maintenance requirements, and assess system interactions during normal operation, failures, emergencies and maintenance.
- Develop and review mechanical design solutions, layouts, P&IDs, schematics, technical specifications and equipment schedules, integrating supplier equipment into the overall platform design.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces with electrical, structural, piping, architectural, fire safety, automation and installation disciplines, and align technical requirements with clients, suppliers and external engineering partners.
- Review designs and supplier documentation against project requirements, applicable standards and offshore operating conditions, and support design reviews, risk assessments, verification activities and technical procurement.
- Support fabrication, installation, inspections, testing, commissioning and handover, investigate operational deficiencies and develop practical modification or retrofit solutions; where required, undertake site or offshore assignments as Field Engineer or Client Representative.
- Proactively define engineering scopes and coordinate the team’s contribution to projects and tenders, aligning technical solutions, deliverables and effort estimates with project goals.

- Degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, building services engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Relevant engineering experience in the maritime sector, e.g. offshore platforms, offshore wind, shipbuilding or marine systems, including practical experience in maritime or offshore projects.
- Broad technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical auxiliary systems, including mechanical design, equipment layouts and technical specifications.
- Experience in reviewing technical and supplier documentation as well as working with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit or equivalent.
- Professional working proficiency in German for technical discussions and documentation, as well as good written and spoken English.
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working, combined with strong communication skills and willingness to work regularly with the Hamburg-based team and travel to client offices, fabrication yards and offshore installations.
