Purpose of the role

As a Business Developer Representative, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, discovering their needs, and driving new business through outbound campaigns.

You will help businesses work better together, move fast, and innovate. As part of the Business Development team, you will be the first contact for many businesses, engaging proactively to build enthusiasm, identify and qualify their needs, propose solutions, and guide them along the sales path.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve quarterly SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas and meet daily/weekly activity targets.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
  • Educate customers on offerings.
  • Conduct outbound calls and emails, including cold calling, to decision-makers, building rapport and assessing needs.
  • Understand pain points, gather technical requirements, and match business needs with Google Cloud solutions using solution-selling techniques.
  • Maintain customer data in Salesforce.com, managing leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.
  • Work towards team and individual KPIs such as productivity, conversion rates, and pipeline development.
  • Document customer interactions thoroughly in Salesforce.com for clarity and stakeholder awareness.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Native German speaker.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in outbound B2B sales or business development, preferably in IT.
  • Understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong business acumen to connect needs with solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working towards quotas in a phone-based environment.
  • Basic IT skills for efficient computer use.

Desirable

  • 1 year experience in IT outbound sales or prospecting.
  • Experience in cold calling and managing large account portfolios.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Ability to identify decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, confident, goal-oriented, and competitive.
  • Knowledge of local market and business environment.
