We are looking for a motivated researcher working in a project on the development of ion-trap chips (ITCs) at SAL.
You will become part of a highly motivated, international team committed to realizing the building blocks of next generation quantum technology.
Your work will be embedded in an international collaborative network and, specifically, target fabrication and application of ion-trap-chips for real use‐cases.
This opportunity is a temporary position with an expected duration of around 3 years, aligned with the timeframe of the pilot line project.
Continuation in a permanent role may be considered thereafter, subject to strong performance and future funding opportunities.
Your future tasks include: Support ITC development and fabrication across different research units and cleanroom facilities utilizing 200 mm wafer-level technology.
Support testing of developed ITC devices.
Participate in the design, fabrication and technological advancement of ion trap chips.
Communicate and report research findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Communicate and align with industry and academic partners.
Contribution to project management.
