Data Engineer is required by a global company to join its Data Engineering team, helping to build a new modern lake architecture data platform for the organisation.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and building data pipelines to load and transform data into the company's central data lake
- Taking ownership of data quality and resolving existing data quality issues
- Setting up a data governance framework and defining the data catalogue
- Leading and coaching an existing team of Data and BI Developers
- Building automated deployment pipelines
Required Experience
- Proven senior-level experience as a Data Engineer, ideally working with lake or lakehouse architectures
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Working knowledge of data governance and DLP tooling, ideally including Microsoft Purview
- Solid SQL and data pipeline/ETL development skills
- Experience with data quality remediation in complex, multi-source environments
- Ability to collaborate across data analytics, engineering and architecture functions within an organisation
- Any SAP experience would be beneficial
- Professional proficiency in both German and English
