Overview
In this role you will lead advanced tanker analytics to shape trading, risk management and asset utilization decisions. You’ll maintain global models, generate actionable scenarios, and present insights to trading desks to influence strategy. You will partner with oil trading and analytics teams and drive continuous improvement in analysis and communication. This position combines data science with market fundamentals to support the tanker freight market strategy within a fast-paced, international environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Maintain global tanker models and scenarios to anticipate supply-demand dislocations with trading-focused outcomes
- Lead projects to improve tanker analysis and leverage AIS data (3rd party and internal) to deepen market understanding
- Communicate analysis outcomes in weekly and quarterly forums and respond to ad hoc questions
- Provide tradable insights and SnD analysis related to desk discussions, market trends, and base-case scenario development
- Contribute to trading game plans as required by the trading desk leader
- Collaborate with oil trading and analytics teams on data and insights
- Coordinate with global freight Analytics team on cross-commodity projects as needed
- Drive continuous improvement in analysis quality and communication
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in engineering, math, science, economics or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and/or tanker markets
- Python proficiency and ability to build automated, efficient processes
- Strong numeracy and ability to turn data into actionable intelligence
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to a business audience
- Commercial flair and ability to engage with analysts and trading teams
