Bachelor (B.Sc.) Computer Science (f/m/d)

A dual computer science course with us is a real combination of theory and practice. You attend lectures at the IU International University in Bremen Tabakquartier on two days a week. You support one of our teams at CargoSoft three days a week.

During these practical days you will support the implementation of software projects according to customer requirements. To do this, we analyze and evaluate customer requirements together, check and plan implementation and develop the IT systems.

As a rule, you will stay in a team throughout your entire internship. During the course of the training, there is the opportunity to work in other departments of the company.

Unlike dual training, you don’t have to go to vocational school or take an exam before the IHK.

The dual course of study lasts 3 ½ years.

What you learn with us:

• Use of the Java programming language
• Configuration of development environments such as IntelliJ
• Working with version control systems such as GIT and build tools such as Maven
• Use of continuous integration systems such as TeamCity
• Installation and configuration of application servers such as Wildfly
• Dealing with operating systems (Windows or Linux)
• Dealing with databases (Informix, MySQL and Oracle)
• Customer service verbally and in writing
• Dealing with ticket system for customer communication and development planning
• Participation in customer projects
