Having you in our team, you will unfold expertise in customer-centric software development for infotainment in the car, mobile and beyond.WHAT YOU WILL DO Disciplinary and technical management of the organizational unit (OU-2) “Tech Center Architecture”Lead the overall architecture design for all Interior, Infotainment & Digital Experience solutions and define the technology vision, strategy and roadmap for the IIX portfolioEnsure cross-domain technical concept maturity, stability, and compatibility with cluster/system architecture and cross-sectional functionsDevelop and manage technical concepts, including architecture breakdowns, functional chains, and effect chains for systems and functionsLead evaluations of the technical feasibility of brand and legal requirements and design of cross functional technical proposals, including, but not limited to, product compliance, safety, security, diagnostics, OTA, and networkingIdentify and resolve technical risks, conflicting goals, and performance limitations for hardware and softwareWHO YOU ARE University degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 8 years of experience in software and system architecture design in the field of infotainment or consumer electronicsExperience building and launching complex Android based IVI solutions in production vehiclesIn-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art infotainment architectures, Android OS, Linux, embedded systems and performance tuning etc.In-depth knowledge of vehicle EE architecture and communication protocols (VW E3 1.1/1.2 knowledge a plus)Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams to quickly solve complex issuesExcellent written and verbal skills in English and German is a plus; able to communicate with all parts of the organization including Delivery Units and BrandsHigh level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complexNICE TO KNOW Remote work optionsTemporary work from abroad in selected countriesFlextime / optional working hoursCompany pension planAnnual professional developmentSabbatical option up to 6 months30 days paid + 10 days unpaid leavePossibility for VW Group car leasingIf you have further questions about the candidate journey at CARIAD, please contact us: YOUR RECRUITING CONTACTNathalie Giebelhausen - this job offer
