The University of Oldenburg, Department of Business Administration, Economics, and Law, Faculty II, Chair of Economic Policy (Prof. Dr. Christoph Böhringer) and Chair of Environmental and Energy Economics (Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Asane-Otoo) invite applications for the position of:
Postdoctoral Research Associate (m/f/d)
salary level 13 TV-L (100 % = 39,8 hours/week)
The position is available at the earliest possible date for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of a 1-year extension. Part-time employment is also possible. The successful applicant will work on the project "Incidence of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism on Developing Countries" (INCAD), financed by the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung.
INCAD investigates the economic impacts of carbon border adjustment mechanisms, particularly on developing countries. The project offers the opportunity for international networking and capacity building in the field of applied economic analysis. The main objective of the project is to publish excellent research in peer-reviewed international journals from which decision makers can draw useful policy insights.
Requirements:
- A successful Ph.D. degree in a project-relevant area of economics.
- Solid foundation in microeconomics, international trade theory and inequality analysis.
- Experience in numerical simulations based on computable partial or general equilibrium models with proficiency in GAMS or other programming languages.
- Excellent English language skills and effective communication abilities.
- Capability of working in a team.
