Director – M&A / Capital Markets Advisory (DACH)
An independent investment banking boutique based in the DACH region, focused on M&A, public takeovers, and capital markets advisory. The firm advises CEOs, CFOs, and boards on strategic transactions, and is known for a lean, senior-led structure with direct access to leadership on every deal.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking to appoint a Director to take a leading role in M&A transaction execution and business development. This is a senior appointment carrying genuine deal responsibility and direct client exposure from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead M&A transactions from origination through to execution and completion
- Manage senior client relationships, including regular board and shareholder-level engagement
- Contribute directly to the firm's business development and pipeline growth
- Oversee and develop junior team members on live mandates
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A, or related transaction advisory
- Demonstrated ability to lead transaction execution independently and manage senior client relationships
- Native or near-native German and fluent English required
- Suited to a candidate who thrives with direct ownership and a leaner operating structure than a large-platform environment
