Our clients are seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to join their dynamic team managing a growth fund. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and recommending investment opportunities that align with the fund’s growth strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Responsibilities
- Research and Analysis : Conduct thorough research on potential investments across various sectors, focusing on companies with high growth potential. Analyze financial statements, market trends, industry developments, and economic conditions to identify opportunities.
- Financial Modeling : Build detailed financial models to forecast future performance of potential investments. This includes creating projections based on historical data and current market conditions.
- Investment Recommendations : Develop comprehensive reports outlining investment recommendations for the portfolio management team. These reports should include risk assessments and expected returns.
- Portfolio Monitoring : Continuously monitor the performance of existing investments in the portfolio. Conduct regular reviews to ensure alignment with our growth strategy and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaboration : Work closely with portfolio managers to develop strategic investment plans that meet our fund’s objectives.
- Market Intelligence : Stay updated on market trends, new investment products, regulatory changes, and other factors that could impact investments.
Requirements
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required; MBA or CFA certification is highly desirable.
Experience :
- Strong internships or 1-2 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or in an M&A role within an Advisory or BIG4.
- Prior experience in Tech or FinTech.
- German language is a plus, not a must. But the candidate needs to be based in Europe.
Skills :
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel) and databases (e.g., Bloomberg).
- Excellent communication skills—both written (reports) and verbal (presentations).
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
