Head of HR Operations – Salzburg, Austria (Hybrid)
Base salary: 100,000–110,000 euros
Bonus: 10%
Hybrid working model, 2-3 days a week onsite.
Our client is a private equity‑backed manufacturing business undergoing a period of transformation and operational enhancement across the DACH region. With a clear focus on scalability, governance, and data‑driven decision‑making, the group is investing in its HR capabilities to support continued growth.
The Head of HR Operations will play a pivotal role in building and optimising a best‑in‑class HR operations function. This hire will lead the delivery of core people processes, spearhead HR systems enhancements (notably SuccessFactors), and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The position offers strong visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to shape regional people operations strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve HR operations across the DACH(I) region, covering employee lifecycle processes (hire‑to‑retire), payroll coordination, HR data administration, and documentation.
Manage and develop the regional People Operations team, embedding operational discipline and a culture of continuous improvement.
Act as a key operational interface for employees, works councils, and external partners, serving as an escalation point for complex HR matters.
Drive digitalisation, and optimisation of HR processes, including ownership of SuccessFactors and related reporting and automation initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with local labour laws, data protection standards, and governance requirements, including leading works council negotiations.
Oversee operational Talent Acquisition processes, including recruitment workflows, onboarding frameworks, and structured offboarding.
Candidate Profile
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HR Operations, ideally within an international or matrixed organisation.
Demonstrable expertise in HR systems, with a strong preference for SuccessFactors or similar platforms.
Sound understanding of DACH labour law and experience working with works councils.
Fluency in both German and English is essential.
Proven ability to operate at both a strategic and hands‑on level within a fast‑paced environment.
Prior team management experience is advantageous, though strong leadership potential will also be considered.
