Digital Product Technology Engineer – Polymers

Responsibilities

This role will participate in the development of innovative digital tools in the materials engineering space. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing a body of advanced material and application data
• Collaborating with software development teams to integrate the data into digital tools, including AI tools
• Defining requirements and collaboration with software developers to visualize the data
• Collaborating with SMEs in diverse functions to enhance data capture to make new types of data available
• Development of strong supporting documents for materials and applications
• Development of other digital features as required

Qualifications

Required Background and Skills:

• 8-10 years of experience in R&D and/or Application Development roles
• Minimum of Bachelors in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with engineering materials, their applications, and material properties
• Familiarity with material test methods and their relevance to application requirements
• Ability to communicate well and influence peers
• Ability to work independently and formulate roadmaps for advancing project objectives
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to cope with complexity
• Data and fact driven
• Creative mindset

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with agile project management
• Experience with software development
• Familiarity with data tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc
• Skill in multiple languages
