Celonis Product Experience is part of the Product and Engineering organization. We are a group of passionate product design enthusiasts dedicated to pushing boundaries to create high quality, innovative, and engaging experiences. The Role:

As the Head of UX, you’ll lead the user experience and design strategy across our entire product solution portfolio. You will manage and scale a globally distributed team of designers and researchers. You will build the product design strategy and establish a deep understanding of user needs and translate them into intuitive product designs that enable our customers of many personas to very easily navigate platform capabilities across data integration, modeling, process analysis, low code building, automation, and AI. You will be responsible for the research practice, design standards, design systems, information architecture, and user journey monitoring in furtherance of company strategic goals.

Together with your cross-functional leadership team, you will work with advanced technologies to bring innovation and efficiency to our customers.

The work you’ll do:

• Own the strategic growth and scaling of our Product Design including UX Design, Research, and related areas.
• Build and communicate a bold technology and design vision working backwards from customer and business objectives that inspires results.
• Hire, lead and develop a high-performance team of designers and design leaders and build an organizational culture that embodies Celonis’ core values.
• Work with the cross-functional leadership team to build a culture of design excellence and foster the Celonis Design brand. This brand takes pride in customer obsession, quality, speed, and impeccable service delivery.
• Work with cross-functional teams across Celonis to influence, define and iterate over product roadmap and team deliverables.
• Deliver horizontal changes across products including major updates to information architecture, design system, internationalization, or cardinal journeys.
• Mentor and guide the design team on product design excellence best practices and own architecting the design strategy for speed, scale and efficiency.

The qualifications you need:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Communication Design, Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design or product management, with a focus on user experience, user interface design, and customer research.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with a track record of building and managing globally distributed product and design teams.
• Minimum of 8 years of SaaS (PaaS preferred) experience in working on enterprise product design and release management.
• Skilled in applying usability principles and techniques through various stages of product development including requirements gathering, user journey mapping, creating lo-fi and hi-fi wireframes, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
• Strong empathy for users, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and excellent analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for user-centered design within and across teams to improve product usability.
• Understanding of accessibility standards to ensure designs are inclusive for all users.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing your abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate strategic decisions into measurable outcomes.
• A collaborative problem solver who can respectfully challenge decisions and commit wholeheartedly once a decision is made.
• Quick decision-making skills based on business demands and a passion for staying abreast of technological advancements.
• Embrace frugality and recognize that constraints create opportunities for resourcefulness and innovation.
• Passion for technology, well-versed on the latest trends, curious about possibilities and act to explore them.
