German-speaking Client Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Client Manager with a strong background in the insurance industry to support our Japanese corporate clients operating in Germany. This position requires deep insurance expertise, excellent communication skills in both English and German, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.

CLIENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese corporate clients based in Germany
• Liaise with internal departments (underwriting, claims, compliance, etc.) to coordinate client service
• Provide expert advice and guidance on insurance products and solutions tailored to client needs
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to client inquiries in line with Japanese business etiquette
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
• Proactively manage client accounts, identify risks, and offer strategic solutions
• Stay informed about insurance industry trends and regulatory updates in Germany and the EU

CLIENT MANAGER IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 5+ years of client management experience in the insurance industry, ideally at an insurance company except life insurance
• Experience managing Japanese corporate accounts
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services
• Fluent German and professional English skills (written and spoken)
• Deep understanding of business culture and communication style suitable for Japanese clients
• Ability to work independently and take initiative as an immediate contributor
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and client-facing skills
• High responsiveness, attention to detail, and service-oriented mindset
