An international trading house are seeking an experienced Business Developer for Automotive Supply chain to join their office in Madrid. The role will support business creation by senior colleagues, commercial and operational follow up of jobs related to ongoing business, and develop skills for own business creation. Fluency in Spanish and English plus a determination to succeed are required for this role.
Core Duties:
- Promote and support development of new business
- Building strong relationships with existing and new business partners
- Commercial activities leading to current business lines supervision and management under senior colleagues' guidance
- Dealing with queries, logistics coordination, problems solving, price adjustments follow up
- Respond promptly to business partners queries and problem solving related to daily business
- Liaising and coordination with other dept members and other Company Offices´ members to ensure that all steps in supply chain are proceeded efficiently
- Regular market research in order to identify new potential business development areas and daily contact with business partners, proposals for new business development, improvement of existing business routines, visiting current and potential partners
- Travel is essential and will represent a significant portion of the role, domestically or internationally
Ideal candidate:
- Experience gained within a similar business development role in a multinational organisation or industrial area (automotive preferred)
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Good customer service skills (listening and problem solving)
- Ready to travel
- Team worker
- Autonomous action and self-motivated to achieve targets
- Polite and professional
- Good level of education (University degree)
- SAP (preferred)
- Current driving license
