A trading house is currently recruiting for a Sales Product Manager for the Supplement and Energy Drink market. Based in Frankfurt, the Sales Product Manager in the Life Science Business Unit will take responsibility for a product group and constantly expand the portfolio. About 30% of the role will be attending trade fairs and meeting with customers for the products in Europe. Native level of German and business level of English is essential for this role.

Type: Permanent, full-time

Working Hours: from Monday to Friday - weekend work might also be required due to the nature of the work (40 hours per week)

Salary: €70-90K depending on experience + bonus

Start: ASAP

Location: Frankfurt, Germany (Currently 3 days in the office, 2 days' work from home (after probation) - It may change depending on the company's decision.)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Product Group and constantly expanding the portfolio
  • Convincing customers of their products and quickly becoming a sought-after consultant with expertise in nutraceuticals, food additives or sports nutrition
  • Relying on an existing high-quality product range and on the quality of suppliers with whom to communicate regularly, as well as on experienced colleagues and BU management
  • Regularly contacting and visiting customers and potential customers, especially in the DACH region but also in other EU countries
  • Having an ear to the market, presenting at trade fairs and conferences, and recognizing trends at an early stage
  • Using own insights to successfully develop new products and accompany their market launch with the support of colleagues and superiors

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5 -10 years sales experience in supplements or Energy drink sector
  • Chemical or Science based degree background or be confident about explaining technical details about the products in discussion with technical staff
  • Experience in application technology would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite
  • Ideally know-how in procurement marketing or sourcing
  • Native level of German and business level of English is essential
  • Other European languages are a bonus
  • Flexible attitude
  • PC skills (Microsoft Office)
