The Christian Refugee Aid Egelsbach-Erzhausen (CFEE) has been committed to helping refugees for over 35 years. Originating from a volunteer initiative, the CFEE is today an established and professionally run organization with strong local roots.

Our goal is to help refugees settle in well – for us, this includes, in particular, safe and dignified accommodation. Families and shared households live in independent units in the accommodations we run. Social workers maintain an on-site office and support the approximately 150 residents on their path to independent living in Germany.

CFEE is a member of Diakonie Hessen and is supported by the local Protestant and Catholic parishes, the Caritas Association of Offenbach, and the Protestant Deanery of Dreieich-Rodgau. In our social work, we collaborate closely with the Caritas Association of Offenbach and are also supported by dedicated volunteers.

The management is currently in the hands of two volunteer leaders. This position now needs to be filled.

Together, you will share overall strategic responsibility for the CFEE and shape its further development. You will make strategic decisions regarding accommodation, negotiate contracts, and be responsible for the annual financial statements. You will not be involved in day-to-day operations. Your role will focus on managing the approximately four staff members, overseeing finances and the budget, and representing the CFEE to policymakers, administrators, and network partners. A volunteer advisory board will provide support.

What to bring

You have a heart for refugees and enjoy supporting their integration. You bring experience in leading and managing a company. Ideally, you are also familiar with working with government and political bodies. Your leadership style is cooperative and respectful, and your communication is confident – even when interests diverge. Strategic thinking and a proactive approach complete your profile.

What we offer

The opportunity to manage a small, well-regarded non-profit organization in the region – and to actively contribute to social harmony and help specific individuals. You can expect a fantastic team and plenty of scope for your own ideas.

People with disabilities will be given preference if equally qualified. We welcome applications from all people – regardless of gender, origin, age, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
