To strengthen our team in our newly established Zurich office, we are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, and motivated Senior Consultant (100%) to join us.
As a Senior Consultant at CFGI, you do the hands-on technical work behind complex accounting and reporting solutions - taking ownership of your workstreams, supporting Managers and Directors on their engagements, and acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients.
Your clients span listed companies, Swiss mid-caps, private-equity portfolio companies, and high-growth scale-ups.
You support engagements from planning through to completion and learn on the job from experienced Managers, Directors, and Partners - taking on more responsibility as you progress.

Key responsibilities You support managerial employees in advising clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, taking ownership of your workstreams.
Your work includes: Perform technical accounting research and apply new and amended accounting standards and translate the impact into practical implementation steps for clients.
Build and document supporting calculations with clear, auditable workpapers (e. g. for GAAP conversions).
Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and client deliverables, taking responsibility for their quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Assist clients through the period-end close - reconciliations, consolidation entries, and quality review of reporting packages.
Contribute to finance optimization engagements across the full project lifecycle: process (re)design, AI Readiness assessments, implementation of automation tools, and delivery of our AI-driven managed services.
Own defined workstreams day to day - planning your work, meeting deadlines, and keeping your engagement leader informed of progress and issues.
Build trusted working relationships with client finance teams and develop your commercial awareness.
Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing - templates, technical updates, and training materials.
Coach and review the work of consultants through technical review, knowledge-sharing, and feedback.
Required qualifications You will recognize yourself in most of the following: An academic background in accounting, finance, or economics, ideally paired with (or working toward) a qualified accountant credential (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
Three to five years in a Big 4 or comparable advisory or audit environment, or in a technical accounting or financial reporting role in industry.
Solid, applied knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP (SCO and/or Swiss GAAP FER a plus), with the motivation to deepen your technical expertise.
Fluent German and English.
