To strengthen our team in the newly established Zurich office, we are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, and motivated (Senior) Manager (100%) to join us.
As a (Senior) Manager at CFGI, you turn complex accounting and reporting questions into clear, decision-ready solutions and take end-to-end ownership of client engagements – from scoping and proposal through delivery and follow-on opportunities.
Your clients span listed companies, mid-caps, private-equity portfolio companies, and high-growth scale-ups.
You set the standard for technical quality across your engagements, manage multiple projects in parallel on time and on budget, and carry commercial responsibility for your portfolio.
You spot opportunities to expand client relationships and contribute actively to business development.
Just as importantly, you coach and grow Managers and/or (Senior) Consultants around you and help shape how the practice itself develops.
It is demanding, varied, and highly visible work – from one mandate to the next, you deepen your expertise, widen your network, and build a career inside a PE-backed, fast-scaling advisory firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You advise clients on the complex accounting and financial reporting matters that shape their most important decisions, including:
- Subject matter expertise: Serve as the firm's subject matter expert for US GAAP reporting and US-related transactions, covering inbound and outbound deals as well as US filers.
- US transaction hub: Build and lead a local hub for US transactions, working closely with CFGI Americas to capture cross-border synergies (e. g. in the Biotech market).
- M&A accounting: Shape the accounting and reporting that underpins major M&A transactions – purchase accounting, combined financial statements, pro-forma financial information, and post-deal finance integration.
- Capital Markets & IPO services: Guide companies to US capital markets, from IPO readiness and execution (including SEC reporting) through post-listing requirements.
- Technical & operational accounting: Advise clients on conversions to US GAAP, consolidations, PCAOB audit-ready reporting and closing procedures, and implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
- Lead engagements from first scope to final delivery – manage engagement economics, delivery risk, and stakeholder expectations.
- You are a significant part of growing the Swiss practice – spotting opportunities within existing relationships, contributing to proposals, and building new business.
- Add to the firm's voice through developing new service offerings, hosting events and preparing publications.
- Coach and develop Managers and/or (Senior) Consultants through technical review, mentorship, and honest feedback.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
You will recognize yourself in most of the following
- An academic background in accounting, finance, or economics, ideally paired with a qualified accountant credential (US CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Six to eight years in a Big 4 or comparable advisory environment, or in a senior technical accounting or financial reporting role in industry.
- Deep, applied knowledge in US GAAP (IFRS a plus), applied to complex standards in a client-facing or technical accounting setting.
- ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
The qualities and skills that will take you furthest with us

- Curiosity, a collaborative instinct, and the ambition to thrive somewhere entrepreneurial and growing fast.
- A track record of leading several engagements at once, managing their economics, and delivering quality work under tight timelines.
