We are looking for the highly motivated PhD and Postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing research on wireless communications, under the direction of Professor Haris Gačanin.
The position involves carrying out research and prototyping on physical-layer communications including wireless baseband processing, multiple antenna systems, machine learning for PHY-layer, estimation theory and statistical signal processing, and radio resource management. A particular focus of the research is to study the real world constraints through prototyping. The overall objective will be to develop reliable, high capacity and extended range wireless communication systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to R&D projects through the development of simulators and prototypes
- Participate in collaboration projects with our academic and industry partners
- Support event organization and assist in teaching, e.g. lecture exercises, labs, and seminars
- The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to patent and technical reports, lead the drafting and submitting of papers to top international journals and conferences.
- Assist in teaching and organization of seminars/workshops.
Requirements
- Holding or expected to obtain a Master/Ph.D. degree in Wireless communications, Signal processing, or Computer Science
- Strong BSc and MSc studies demonstrated by a track record of fundamental projects (excellence in wireless/mobile communications, signal processing, probability theory, linear algebra, spatial computing, machine learning techniques, control theory, or other related disciplines)
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in areas including wireless communication, signal processing, optimization, multi-antenna signal processing, adaptive modulation, resource allocation, device-to-device communications adaptive waveform design.
- Evidence provided by high-quality publications in top-tier IEEE/ACM transactions and/or top-tier IEEE/ACM conferences.
- Extensive knowledge in C or C++ and Linux. List the evidence in the form of past projects
- Experience in developing research agenda to pursue independent research.
- Strong interest to work with industry and sponsors
- Excellent written and communication skills in English.
