Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Fractional Specialist (Consultant) with a strong focus on Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) to support our operations in Berlin. The role requires a deep understanding of German labour laws and best practices to manage employee-related issues, advise on compliance, and assist with onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (ER):
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing expert advice and solutions in line with German labor laws.
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters professionally and confidentially.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a positive workplace culture.
Industrial Relations (IR):
- Ensure compliance with German industrial relations legislation, including union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and workplace agreements.
- Support management in handling IR-related matters, including disputes and consultations.
Onboarding and Integration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to create seamless onboarding processes for new hires in Berlin.
- Provide guidance on contract terms, benefits, and compliance with local employment laws.
Consultation and Advisory:
- Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to provide strategic HR guidance.
- Review policies and processes to ensure alignment with German legal and cultural standards.
- Offer tailored solutions to HR challenges faced by a growing, international team.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations and industrial relations in Germany.
- Languages: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Proven knowledge of German labour laws, workplace compliance, and employment legislation.
- Previous experience as an HR consultant is highly advantageous.
- Ability to manage complex ER/IR cases with professionalism and sensitivity.
