Senior Frontend Engineer (m/w/d)

Overview

For our client, an innovative company in its sector, we are searching for a (Senior) Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Further development of the NextJS/ReactJS-based WebApp for the global streaming platform
• Consuming the backend API services to present the artists and browse the audio/video content
• Closely collaborate with the other teams working on other platforms (iOS/Android/etc)
• Strive for highest performance, modern technologies, great UX and quick iteration cycles
• Help insourcing know-how from the agencies working on this project

Qualifications

• You are just a very good software developer (different programming paradigms, self-organizing, etc.)
• You know how to design, build, deploy and run a modern frontend tech stack
• You successfully apply software engineering best practices (SOLID, TDD, KISS, …) and you love to talk and reason about them
• You are a team player; you share your knowledge, you like to teach and mentor others
• You are an Agile development practitioner. You know why, when and how to apply it
• You strive for mastery in your profession, are a life-long learner and can’t live without tests or CI/CD

Personal expectations

• Software engineering is a team-gig. Getting along with each other on a professional level is important. Talking the same language is crucial. Knowing when and how to say yes or no, when to ask questions, how to disagree in a constructive way is critical.
• Don’t expect everything to be pre-digested. The success of the product is driven by a constant feedback loop that surfaces different perspectives. You will need to look at problems, creatively come up with solutions, they won’t be pre-chewed for you. That’s your chance that your voice is heard, so speak up.
• Learning: One of the best things in Software Engineering. Do not stop, at no point in your career.
• Mastery: You should be striving to bring your skills to perfection, one after the other and then start over
• Understanding and liking the agile way of approaching product development is key
