For our client, a leading company in its sector, we are searching for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (m/w/d) as soon as possible.
Your job
- Be part of an international development team and work closely with freelancers, third parties, and agencies.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Develop, monitor, and scale the back-end processes and API services hosted in a stable cloud environment.
- Be responsible for all DevOps and InfoSec processes.
- Work with key stakeholders and management to jointly define project and product requirements.
- Help the Head of Development to manage and prioritize the product pipeline and the corresponding backlogs to reach milestones with defined scope, time, and budget targets.
Your profile
- Previous experience (at least two years) with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries.
- Previous experience in designing REST APIs following openspec standards.
- Previous experience with Docker.
- Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, and ORM.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and Github.
- Familiarity with continuous integration such as CircleCI, CodeDeploy.
