Interim – Procurement Project Excellence Lead – Process Improvement & Decentralization
6-month contract | Germany | Europe-based
Circa €500 – €600 per day (Dependent upon Experience)
I\’m supporting a fast-growing European digital business that\’s rebuilding how procurement operates at a local level, following a move away from a centralised global model.
This is a standalone-style role within a sizeable regional entity, where procurement exists, but needs structure, clarity, and momentum.
It\’s not a category-heavy role and it\’s not just about contracts. This is about making procurement work in practice, instilling processes and policies during a time of change.
Role responsibilities
- Helping design and embed practical procurement processes, tools & policies
- Improving how procurement communicates and engages stakeholders
- Putting structure around guidance, governance, and ways of working
- Acting as a procurement project manager, turning intent into delivery
- Operating in a fast-moving environment
Ideal Experience
- A strong procurement generalist or procurement excellence profile
- Someone comfortable operating with high autonomy
- Experience setting up, improving, or reshaping procurement functions
- Happy working in change, ambiguity, and \“build as you go\“ environments
- Backgrounds across multiple industries or operating models welcome
Requirements (flexible)
- Typically, 5-15+ years procurement experience (less about years, more about exposure)
- Strong communication skills, able to make procurement land with the business
- Fully remote, digitally confident
- Europe-based
The detail
- Contract: 6 months initially (extension likely)
Start: ASAP
Location: Fully remote with client based in Germany
If you\’re an interim procurement professional who enjoys building something usable, rather than inheriting something polished, this is worth a conversation.
