Châteauform’ is looking for a Second de cuisine to support the Chef and progress toward a Chef role.
Responsibilities
Participate actively in the management of the kitchen and in the success of the services.
Prepare dishes from recipes and master the basics of French traditional cuisine (buffets, plated service, breakfast to dinner).
Create new recipes and propose ideas.
Organize and supervise mise‑en‑place with the team.
Mentor kitchen staff and help their skill development.
Manage stocks, orders and commodity control.
Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and safety procedures.
Take over the Chef’s responsibilities in his absence and organise overall kitchen operations.
Maintain a positive relationship with guests and contribute to the client experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 4‑5 years of kitchen experience.
Previous experience in supervision or as a second is a plus.
Passion for cuisine, interest in trends, and curiosity.
Organised, autonomous, and able to prioritise tasks.
Enjoy working with fresh, seasonal, high‑quality ingredients.
Desire to progress into a Chef position.
Ability to foster a collaborative and positive kitchen atmosphere.
