Our client is a Luxury 5* hotel, located in a Historic Building, fully refurbished to high standards with amazing lush interior, opening this Summer 2022. The Hotel will have 3 restaurants, one bar together with a variety of social and meeting facilities. For the pre-opening Team, we are looking for an Executive Pastry Chef.
As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will have the following duties:
- Managing the daily Pastry operation
- Planning and attribution of work
- Supporting the team thanks to trainings and regular feedbacks in order to improve employee performance and compliance with the brand standards and local, regional and national legal safety regulations
- Ensuring a smooth work process while maintaining quality standards
- Contributing to designing and developing menu concepts
- Preparation of high-quality pastries, confectionery, desserts, cakes, and tarts
- Quality check of the desserts and their presentation
- Leading the daily Mise en Place
- Doing orders as well as the control of the daily merchandise receiving
- Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all food and raw materials
- Compliance and daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines.
Requirements
Candidate specifications:
- Team spirit, strong leader
- Organizational skills
- Creativity
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Additional foreign language skills are an advantage
- Completed training as a confectioner or cook and several years of professional experience in the patisserie
Salary Package:
- 7,000 CHF Gross per month x 13 payments per year
