Laboratory Manager – Power Electronics (m/f/d)

Are you interested in leading a small team of technicians and helping to design, coordinate and oversee workflows in the laboratory? Then you’re the right fit for us!

We are looking for a Laboratory Manager (m/f/d) to join our team immediately, either part-time or full-time. In this role, you will oversee the laboratory team, coordinate the execution of reliability tests and actively contribute to the development and construction of test setups. A particular focus will also be placed on ensuring compliance with the DIN ISO 17025 standard and quality assurance.

We are a young and dynamic company founded in November 2021 as a spin-off from the Chair of Power Electronics at Chemnitz University of Technology. We specialize in providing advanced testing services for power semiconductors. In addition to conducting reliability tests and developing test benches for our customers, we are actively engaged in an EU-founded project and maintain close collaboration with the Chair of Power Electronics on research initiatives. By driving modern technologies such as electromobility and renewable energy, we contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and are poised for further growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and motivation of a small team of technicians in the test laboratory
  • Organization and coordination of daily activities
  • Monitoring and controlling workflow processes
  • In the Field of Test Procedures:
    • Implementation and monitoring of test procedures for power electronics
  • In the Field of DIN ISO 17025 Standard:
    • Implementation of standard requirements and ensuring compliance
    • Coordination of internal audits and collaboration with external testing bodies
  • In the Field of Calibration:
    • Responsibility for the calibration of testing devices and instruments
    • Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all calibration processes
  • In the Field of Quality Assurance:
    • Introduction of quality control measures
    • Ensuring high testing accuracy
    • Identification of improvement opportunities and subsequent implementation of appropriate measures to optimize testing processes

Your Profile:

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, power electronics or a related field or a comparable qualification
  • Ideally, several years of experience in electronics and managing test laboratories
  • Solid knowledge of the DIN ISO 17025 standard and its implementation
  • Experience in the calibration of testing devices and instruments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Reliable and independent working style
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good command of both written and spoken German and English
