For our CPMC Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for a Project Manager in Chassis area.

Role Purpose
Close collaboration with the Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics team, this role leads the project integration of chassis system development and vehicle dynamics activities.
Through integrated planning, prototype and test resource coordination, issue closure, China-Europe coordination and gateway governance, the role improves the utilization of limited chassis engineering resources and ensures Suspension, Steering, Brake, ESP, Tire and Vehicle Dynamics deliverables meet vehicle program gateways and European product objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Chassis Integrated Planning
- Create and maintain the integrated chassis development plan covering suspension, steering, braking, ESC/chassis control, tires, vehicle dynamics, calibration, testing and validation.
- Align chassis work packages, dependencies and deliverables with the overall vehicle program schedule.
- Test Vehicle & Proving-Ground Coordination
- Coordinate prototype availability, vehicle configuration, tires, instrumentation, software/calibration versions, proving-ground slots and engineering resources.
- Ensure each test event has clear objectives, prerequisites, owners, timing and expected outputs.
- Coordinate technical-project interfaces between Europe R&D, China chassis teams, suppliers, vehicle attribute teams and vehicle project management.
- Maintain alignment across targets, versions, issue status, accountability, decisions and delivery timing.
- Identify plan and technical dependency risks caused by differences in China-Europe development cadence and drive early alignment.
- Maintain the chassis risk and issue register and track actions from problem identification through countermeasure, verification and closure.
- Escalate schedule, resource, maturity or interface risks that could affect chassis targets or vehicle gateways.
- Create visibility of demand for chassis engineers, test drivers, prototypes, proving-ground time and supplier support across parallel projects.
- Identify resource conflicts early and support prioritization, recovery planning and escalation.
- Gateway Readiness & Delivery
- Assess chassis and vehicle dynamics readiness for relevant gateways based on agreed deliverables and validation evidence.
- Provide concise management reporting on maturity, open issues, forecast risks and actions required to protect vehicle timing.
- Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or above in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chassis Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline; engineering background preferred.
- Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience in chassis, vehicle dynamics, whole-vehicle development, test & validation or automotive project management.
- Good understanding of fundamental Vehicle Dynamics principles and working knowledge of at least one of the following areas: Suspension, Steering, Brake, ESC or Tire.
- Experience in vehicle testing, chassis tuning, prototype/proving-ground management or supplier development programs is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior chassis engineers, test drivers and suppliers while maintaining clear boundaries between project management and technical responsibility.
- Strong execution, issue-closure and multi-party coordination skills, with the ability to protect critical priorities in a highly resource-constrained environment.
- Professional working proficiency in English; China-Europe cross-cultural R&D project experience preferred.
- Proficiency in project planning, issue/risk management and data analysis tools.
