About the role
We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team at Chroma Germany GmbH In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of technical equipment, sometimes at customer sites within Europe. This position requires a clear hands‑on approach to solving technical issues.
This is a hands‑on Service Technician position. We are looking for candidates with practical experience in servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, the role is focused on technical service rather than engineering design or product development.
Job responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer locations.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electronic faults.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Provide technical support and training to customers when required.
- Document service activities and prepare service reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Candidate profile
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Service Technician or in a comparable field service role, with strong knowledge of electronics and mechanics.
- Valid driving license.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel.
- Professional working proficiency in English is required.
- German or Mandarin Chinese language skills are an advantage.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and customer‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
