Senior Indirect Tax Specialist

Job DescriptionSENIOR INDIRECT TAX SPECIALISTType of Employment:PermanentLocation:Berlin, GermanyVisa requirements:A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)Senior Indirect Tax Specialist is a person, who takes on the responsibility for VAT processes and declarations for client Business Unit(s), in accordance with agreed timeline and quality.Main ResponsibilitiesAcquire, analyze and prepare VAT data/ declarations and ensure accurate, compliant and timely submission of VAT declarations;Support VAT payment and refund process;Maintain accounting procedures related to VAT: settlements, reconciliation of VAT accounts, etc.;Maintain ERP master data for indirect taxes;Perform quality controls: SOX controls and Internal team\’s controls;Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor.Main RequirementsHigher education in Economics/ Finance or relevant field;Previous experience in Accounting or finance (experience in VAT accounting will be considered as an advantage);Fluency in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with Business Units and colleagues in Europe and USA;Knowledge of German would be considered as an advantage to communicate with BU Germany;At least 2-3 years experience of VAT Compliance;Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines;Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, previous experience with ERP systems will be considered as an advantage.What You Can Expect From Circle KAttractive remuneration, vacation pay, 13th monthly salary and bonusUp to 34 days vacationFlexible working hoursGood work-life balanceCompany pension schemeDistinct feedback cultureJob BikeLifetime working time accountUse of sports and health platform with employer subsidiesEmployee fuel card with discountsAlimentation Couche-Tard is a proud receiver of Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for 4 years in a row.At Circle K, our culture is shaped by our team members and how we treat each other.
